Be a Volunteer Teacher to Cambodian Children

Cambodia’s level of education is quite low, compared to world standards. This lack of educational opportunities for children is the leading cause of poverty and unemployment in the country.

Most jobs in Cambodia require English skills but many families don’t have the funds to support their children’s educational needs.

Volunteer teachers to work in NGO-run schools are greatly needed to teach English to children as well as other subjects like Mathematics, IT, and the Arts. These volunteers devote their time and effort to preparing lesson materials.

These schools operate throughout the year and are closed only during holidays. Volunteers teaching English are not required to have special qualifications or experience. There is also no minimum period for teaching although it is highly encouraged that teachers stay longer to provide a level of stability to children.

Being a teacher volunteer for Cambodian children is rewarding and fulfilling because your time and efforts contribute greatly to changing lives.
