How can you help ?

We need volunteers to teach English and to work with the locals in a small eco-tourism community. For a short stay, we recommend that you visit through our homestay program where all of the income goes directly to your host so you can help support the family. If you plan to stay a bit longer, we need motivated people to teach and inspire children! All forms of assistance are welcome in the local eco-tourism community - from helping to build a new house, to helping with the crops, or even in the rice field! Get in touch and we will let you know how can you help!

It Feels So Good To Give Back!
Here Is How You Can Make A
Difference…

what-are-donations-used-for

A little help goes a long way. A small donation can help innumerable families and children with their basic needs.

What are donations used for?

Donations are used for families and children with things they need to live decent lives. Here are a few examples of what your donation can do. Every year, Mr. Ross, through the school, provides 4,000 to 6,000 school books to children. He also gives away 35 or more bicycles for students to be able to attend schools that are far from where they live. He also helps students who graduate from high school with scholarships so they can continue their university education.

Our Mission

INSPIRING CHILDREN TO LIVE, LEARN AND LEAD!

Mr. Ross’ House and Orphanage School offers free education to under-privileged children in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Our mission at Mr. Ross' House for orphaned & underprivileged children is to give a great standard of education to those who can’t afford it. We need more volunteers, more funds, more supplies, and more enthusiastic people to help develop our school so we can transform our facilities to benefit the children of Cambodia.

Any help, big or small, is truly appreciated as we are committed to improving the lives of hundreds of children. Further, we also aim to help their families become self-sufficient and attain a better standard of living.

A Life Dedicated to Helping Others

From a very young age, Mr. Ross has dedicated his life to helping others. As founder of schools teaching English, Thai, and Khmer to children, he never stops finding ways to better their lives.

Anyone who comes in contact with Mr. Ross would wonder what inspires him to do so much for his fellowmen. The answer is quite simple. Mr. Ross has also had a very hard life. He was abandoned by his mother before he was even a year old.

Born in Siam Reap, he had never met his birth parents.

Why Teach English

Volunteer teachers to work in NGO-run schools are greatly needed to teach English to children as well as other subjects like Mathematics, IT, and the Arts. These volunteers devote their time and effort to preparing lesson materials.

These schools operate throughout the year and are closed only during holidays. Volunteers teaching English are not required to have special qualifications or experience. There is also no minimum period for teaching although it is highly encouraged that teachers stay longer to provide a level of stability to children.

Volunteers Testimonials

  • VOLUNTEERING is incredibly fun and rewarding
“I have travelled a lot and after a while, sightseeing became less exciting. I was looking for a different way or a different path to take to see the world. Luckily, I stumbled upon Mr.Ross’ advertisements looking for volunteers to teach English. I spent 2 months at Mr.Ross’ house and it was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life so far. Living with them has totally changed my perspective on life and helped me to appreciate everything more than ever. Seeing how grateful they are for every little thing and how much the children are willing to learn really broke my bubble of ‘’I need more’’ and replaced it with ‘’Wow, I’m so grateful for what I have’’. The children have really touched my heart and their smiles are the best reward for time spent teaching them.”
